"Prostate cancer affected both my dad and grandfather, so I am nearly four times as likely to be diagnosed with this disease, and a yearly screening is particularly important. Make a pit stop at your doctor for an annual screening to protect your health. And if diagnosed, seek treatment with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including an oncologist, not just a urologist." -- Kyle Petty, third-generation NASCAR champion driver

WHAT:
A webcast on prostate health offered by the Prostate Cancer Education Council featuring Kyle Petty sharing his personal experience with prostate cancer. We are also fortunate to have Dr. Robert Dreicer to provide a medical perspective.

The program will stress the continued importance of following recommended national screening guidelines and encourage men if diagnosed with prostate cancer to recruit a multidisciplinary team of professionals that includes a medical oncologist and radiation oncologist along with a urologist.

Patients can now register by logging onto www.PCAW.com.

WHEN:
Thursday, September 25th at 8:00 a.m. EST

WHY:
Prostate cancer is a serious health concern for men, killing more than 28,000 American men each year. Awareness of the risks associated with the disease and the value of early treatment can help equip men with tools to prevent more serious problems.

This webcast is part of a national program co-sponsored by PCEC with sanofi-aventis called Stay on Track for Better Prostate Health to build awareness of the importance of screening and the need to take an active role in treatment if diagnosed.
